When you do a walk through of the house with your client there are certain things that quickly get put on the “to do list” but what about the outside of the house?
The first impression of a home is the view from the street. Many people still drive around to look at houses for sale, but a lot of people are making a decision to “go look” based on a thumbnail they see on a website.
So what recommendations do you make to your clients? Here are a few we suggest:
- Fresh landscaping:
- Budget-friendly and easy to do in less than a day. Just clean out the flower beds and add some fresh mulch!
- Power washing:
- Vinyl siding/brick/stone: a house wash gets rid of the dirt, mold, mildew, and algae that have built up.
- Roof: A roof wash gets rid of those nasty black streaks that make the roof look old and out of shape
- Driveway, patios and sidewalks-yes…they’re dirty. A concrete wash will bring them back to life and remove all the dirt and grime from everyday wear and tear.
- Fencing-wood or vinyl. A wash can restore the look of a fence in a matter of minutes.
- Window Cleaning: window washing gets rid of the dust, dirt, and grime that can build up on windows over time. We clean the inside and out to make them shine!
These are both budget-friendly options that really give the house some “Wow” factor from the outside. Even if that was the only two things your clients did to the outside of the property-it could make a huge difference to the potential buyers.
